A ride on the London Eye takes 30 minutes.
On weekends, December 26 to December 30, and from June through August timings are 10am to 8:30pm.
On New Year's Eve (December 31), it is open from 10am to 3pm only.
It is closed on Christmas Day and most days in January (for maintenance).

Weekday vs Weekend

Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends. Weekdays are a better option for a relaxed experience with fewer crowds.
However, the weekend might be a good choice if you don't mind the crowds and want a more vibrant experience.
Mornings and evenings are less crowded than in the afternoon. Consider booking a ticket for early morning or late evening for a quieter experience.

Peak season vs low season

The London Eye sees its most visitors during school holidays in the summer and during UK half-term holidays (July and August). Avoid visiting during these months for a more relaxed experience.
Instead, visit between January and March or October to November to avoid the crowds.
